Kaposi Sarcoma


Consider Kaposi sarcoma in children presenting with nodular skin lesions,diffuse lymphadenopathy and lesions on the palate and conjunctiva with periorbital bruising.Diagnosis of Kaposis sarcoma is usually clinical but can be confirmed by a needle biopsy of skin lessions or lymph node biopsy.Suspect of Kaposi sarcoma also in children with persistent diarrhoea,weight loss,intestinal obstruction,abdominal pain,or large pleural effusion.Consider referral to a larger hospital for management Kaposi sarcoma.(WHO).
